ERTE (Romain de Tirtoff 1892-1990)is the name of an unique artist who is widely known as the "Father of ARTE DECO". He was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892. He won acclaim as illustrator of famous "Haper'a Bazaar" magazine in the 1910's. He designed numerous costumes and sets for theatre and movies in Paris, New York, as well as London and Hollywood. His works have been loved though over the generations for its original style which creates the world full of fantasy and aestheticism.
